Gene spent his childhood days in the historic town of Astoria, Oregon, where he developed a love for the sea and for seafood. He became a licensed REALTOR in 2015 and pursued his business in the Redmond and Seattle markets. But in 2020, he decided to take the literal plunge into the Gulf of Mexico by moving his family of five to Manatee County where they could enjoy the warm Florida waters all year round. It didn't take long before the Hendrickson family became deeply rooted in the NW Bradenton community of Mango Park. They are active participants in their children's education and activities.
